Love this cute lil dude. Interesting puzzle getting the transformations to happen at the right time. Would have liked to have a feature that highlights all the possible spaces you can move to (it took me a sec to see that you can move horizontally onto the heavy dude) but totally understand not having it in a jam timeframe.
This is a comment to Confounding Calendar: Why are you requiring a specific color pallette this year? While it gives the games aunified look, it also controls potential themes. I’m really dissapointed in this change.
EVERY year of the Confounding Calendar requires a specific colour palette, and it's one of my favourite things about it, it leads to strikingly pretty games. The other rules also 'control potential themes' too. I prefer to think of it as restrictions breeding serendipity.
Oh my gosh I feel so silly. I saw the color pallete this year had only four colors, and I assumed there couldn’t have been a color pallete last year because of the game Technicolor and Bring Your Pet to School Day. But now that I think about it, while those games had a larger color pallete, it was still a limited set of colors. I just didn’t notice! Oops. Thanks for explaining!
Yep, there was a palette last year too but it was 7 colors. Lemme tell you it was plenty hard to draw Bring Your Pet to School Day with 7 colors but you can imagine what a time I had this year with only 4!
“I’m really dissapointed in this change.” It’s not a change, it’s been like that since the Confounding Calendar started in 2021. The only exception was 2023, where participants could choose one extra colour in addition to the required colour palette.
Very pretty puzzle game. Another player discovered it's possible to skip an orange blob and still win. I think it could be de-cheesed by moving the westmost bramble one north?
Thank you! As for the first orb, it's actually meant to be skippable - it's there just to introduce the mechanic. But I can see now that it's causing confusion, and your suggestion to move the bramble solves it nicely. I'll try to test this and fix it after the event.
Yeah, I think the puzzle is stronger if you have to engage with this mechanic. And since the difficulty level/state space is low anyway, changes like this aren't too dangerous.
The intended solution is to leave the first orb intact, it's there to demonstrate the mechanic =) But apparently people found a way to collect all the orbs.

The spaces you can move to sparkle though?
Thanks! Possible moves should be highlighted by white particles, unless something went wrong.
Incredible! Love deducing when the transformations need to happen based on what makes getting to the end impossible. Great job!
Thanks! Yeah, my idea was to make it possible to solve it back-to-front.
Love the art and how different each of the interactions feels!!
Thank you for the kind words!
Wonderful game!
Thank you!
thanks, fun but confounding*!
*as advertised from calendar
As it should be =)
Great puzzle!
Thanks!

don't forget that one year where someone interoperated "at most one additional color" as the rules restriction for the actual puzzle
yeah I was thinking of that one too, total genius and no one would think of it UNLESS that specific palette was offered

Oh wow! I’m excited for it, as Bring Your Pet to School Day was one of my favorites!

Took a lot of thinking but I did it!

i’ll be honest i thought the solution was that you had to give up on collecting all of them and skip one. i’d love to know what the 100% solution is

Very cute :) i love the selection of abilities, it gives a lot of potential paths while not being overwhelming
Thank you for the kind words!
Neat game! Got both star combos.
Thanks, glad you liked it!
That was cool! A bit easy and bruteforce-able but still very good
Edit: Got both star combos after I understood that it counts as two different ones
Thank you! I wanted to actually make two different solutions but ran out of time unfortunately.
This was really fun!
Thank you!
Cool!
